Having established itself as the “the largest and most prestigious business gathering in Cyprus“, the 12and The Limassol Economic Forum (‘LEF’) was held at the Four Seasons Hotel on 22n/a October 2021.
Every year, the EWL provides a stage for pioneering political, economic, professional and business figures to discuss and present the latest developments and innovations in their respective fields. This was never more evident than at this year’s event whose theme was “the impact of the pandemic, and in particular its effects on businesses”. A succession of impressive speakers were on hand to explain the specific challenges the Covid 19 pandemic had caused their organizations and how they had both adapted and innovated to overcome them.. For many, this had resulted in the disruption of long-established work patterns and the creation of a new, more efficient and responsive ‘normal’.
Unfortunately, this year’s Forum was preceded by the death of one of EWL’s earliest supporters, Mr. Andreas Neocleous. EWL organisers, IMH, have set aside time in the busy schedule to pay special tribute to him. IMH representatives described Mr. Neocleous as “one of the instigators of the annual Limassol Economic Forum, while he and his law firm were both long-time supporters of the Forum since its very first incarnation”.

Elias Neocleous & Co LLC continues this legacy of support by serving as LEF’s Gold Sponsor. The company is also actively engaged as a participant in the event. This year, the Managing Partner, Mr. Elias Neocleous, was one of the main speakers, and the firm was one of the main exhibitors, using the event to launch its revolutionary legal technology solution “NEOLAW.AI” . Members of the NEOLAW.AI team were on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of this innovative legal tool to an impressed audience. Powered by machine learning and AI, and using a natural language processing system, NEOLAW.AI is set to become the only legal assistant for lawyers, legal consultants and law students in Cyprus.

Mr. Elias Neocleous, was a lively member of the panel alongside other leading businessmen and professionals discussing life ‘after Covid’. He was keen to point out that the pandemic had given, via the closure of courtrooms, an impetus to the search for alternative methods of delivering legal services. He believed, without a doubt, that the key to future success lay in technology. Properly applied, this should eventually make the services provided more efficient and of higher quality, both desirable characteristics for clients. The NEOLAW.AI tool is a perfect example of this strategy.
Of course, the 12and The Limassol Economic Forum has once again successfully acted as a vehicle for innovative dialogue, leaving its participants with plenty to think about and an appetite for LEF 13!
