Economic future bleak under ‘professional thieves’: Imran Khan – Pakistan

Imran said transparent elections were the need of the hour to protect Pakistan from further harm.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Imran Khan said on Tuesday that Pakistan’s economic future is bleak under the current government.

While speaking at a party meeting, the former prime minister said these groups of thieves were unprepared and tried to cover up their misdeeds.

He said that when the PTI came to power, the country was on the verge of bankruptcy. Although he added that despite pressure from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the effects of COVID-19, the PTI has not let inflation affect ordinary people.

Attacking the current government, he said that after 9 weeks the “imported puppets” took revenge on the people in the form of inflation.

Imran said he warned that the PTI government was strengthening the economy after hard work and that the political crisis could have damaged it. He said transparent elections are the need of the hour to protect Pakistan from further damage.
